Levitate Recruitment are currently recruiting for Tax professionals to join an award winning Tax consultancy in Bristol. The firm specialise in R&D tax credits and have developed a fantastic team that have assisted the firm to become a leader in their field. The Role:

  • To prepare and submit robust R&D tax credit claims in line with our key values. The Tax Manager will apply legislation, BIS Guidelines and HMRC guidance to identify projects eligible for tax relief.
  • Manage a caseload of a variety of business clients
  • Being the principal contact with clients in relation to their R&D claim
  • Delivering outstanding client service by meeting client demands, keeping them up to date with progress and engendering trust and respect
  • Conducting client interviews and discussions to obtain key information
  • Keeping internal control records up to date and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures
  • Undertaking appropriate research relating to complex technical issues
  • Advising clients of general tax issues and understanding the wider impact of tax advice
  • Involvement in business development activities to identify and pursue business opportunities
  • Actively seek opportunities to develop own skills and attend training sessions to develop technical and personal skills
  • Meet both personal and team targets


  • ACA or CTA qualified or equivalent
  • Good tax knowledge and experience (Ideally in R&D Tax but will remain open
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work
  • Focuses on great client service and relishes seeking tax benefits for innovative clients
  • Communicates with impact, in an open, honest, consistent and clear manner
  • Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
